| I didn't want to post this and keep waiting on Z1 to do the right thing and I delayed this post. But after 3 weeks and I still have a massive oil leak from a rebulit stage 1 long block. I know Z1 Is not a sponsor here anymore, I just wanted to keep the Z community Informed on Z1. I have been a loyal customer to Z1 over the years and every upgrade or part I need I contact Z1 exclusively. So any part Z1 makes Is on my car Including gt 600 r turbo's, Intercoolers, shifter, Flywheel. etc.. not including parts I buy from them. well over 15k In 2 years. That being said I just purchased a stage 1 long block and spent 1500$ extra to have It fully assembled. When It arrived It was missing plenum bolts, coil pack bolts, flywheel nuts.. etc.. etc.. Coolant hose.... blah... Ive contacted them and know have all the bolts except the coilpacks one's. Not a big deal but I shipped them my entire engine and didnt receive It back complete. When I finally finished putting the engine back In my Z. On the first start up It died after couple of seconds I expected this. On the second attempt It fired up and I went to Inspect the coolant level and I noticed oil running across my garage floor I crawled under the car to see oil just free flowing out of the front of the car with out any restrictions. It literary pours out a quart every 3 secs. I have been In contact with Z1 with not much luck. I have to keep calling and asking If this will be corrected and when. I am being asked know to take apart the timing covers to see where the oil Is coming from, this Is not what I paid for and I already took a week off from work to put the engine back In the car. And paid a extra 1500$ for It to be fully assembled so It could supposedly just drop It in the car with less down time. Know my alternator Is saturated In oil along with my engine bay! The alternatives they gave me where ship the motor back to them.(I would do this but, I put he engine In by myself In my gargage with out a lift.) Or I fix It myself and they would give me the parts. and pay me for my time .Or I would have to take It to a shop they know which Is almost 200 miles from me. They said they would only help me if I took off all the timing covers and see where the oil leak was coming from. They also asked for pictures of the leak, so I sent them a 14 second movie clip of the engine running with the leak. I purposed taking to Nissan and having them fix It and giving Z1 the bill, they didn't want to go this route. The Best option I think which they didn't want to do was ship my car to them and repair It and test It. Again, I am not a Car Technician I just do my own work to save money and I enjoy doing It. Since Z1 built the engine and has my money, I personally think they are responsible for fixing It with there hands. But I will be more than happy with a working Z either way. I just want to be able to drive It. I have been In contact with Russel from Z1 through email. Z1 has been aware of this since the beginning of the month and I am still having to wait on them to correct this. After calling Z1 back they have agreed to have my car shipped to a shop to fix the oil leak this coming Sunday 5-25-08. Which Is close to 200 miles away, guess I will have to pay for getting It back home. Hopefully after this date I will have a driveable Z32 and a update on Z1 fixing the issue.
I'm sure someone from Z1 will chime In here, hopefully they will. My update on the matter and my relationship with Z1 will be honest, but will It be soon?
